A love relationship is like a sand castle, it is built by the same thing that destroys it. A castle is built by the sea: the water wets the sand to build it, but it is the same water that destroys it.
Love wets our souls allowing us to build this ephemeral structure that is a relationship. It is the same love that destroys everything. But like sand castles, a relationship is beautiful in its integrity. In the potentiality of the smooth sand, in its living being and especially in its disappearance.
So this is the chronicles of the sandcastle that I built with my lover, in its complexity, integrity, fragility and especially in its ephemeral beauty that remains engraved in this book.
